“There’s no secret that in the Run & Shoot Offense, we want to throw the ball and throw it often. You might think that being a RB in this offense wouldn’t be much fun, but the complete opposite is true! It’s a blast! Who wouldn’t want to be in a system where the entire scheme is designed to set your position up for success? RBs in the Run & Shoot also develop into outstanding pass protectors, runners, and catchers of the football. You could say that a RB in this system becomes a more complete player than any position in any system of football. The 4-wides environment is paradise for us and it allows us to play the game with better vision, freedom, and versatility.”

Super Back Drills
Many of the drills used for Super Backs in the R&S are similar to other systems when it comes to warm-up, speed & agility, ball security, and run game (see extra drills). The biggest difference is the heavy emphasis and repetition of pass protection and screen game.
