This Quick Game is not directly associated with the R&S. The Quick Game of many offensive schemes are similar. Quite frankly, when it comes to the R&S Offense, it is not much different than other teams. However, when you pass as much as the R&S, you simply rep it more than most. There are many variations and names for quick game. You can name the quick game anything you want. Play such as Thunder and Lightning are quick game passes, but I put them under Base passes because they are/can be based on utilization.
The quick game provided here I learned many years ago coaching HS football in the beautiful state of Montana. It was very effective. I’ve just added basic R&S route adjustments and tagging over the years. It is very simple and provides opportunities to release the ball quickly, while still allowing the QB the chance to step-up and strike down field if needed in 3X1. It also utilizes the basic R&S tagging to flip route responsibilities to minimize or take advantage of teams taking chances to jump routes.
