The uncovered rules are very simple, but also a staple. Long story short, if there is a WR open presnap (no defender over them), you throw to them. There are several different ways to get to this and it can be done from under-center or shotgun. Under-center is usually more effective/faster but it can be done either way. Below is from under-center but the rules are the same in Gun. You can build the call into the offense as well. Practice is critical and so is trusting the players. As time goes, players will have the ability to take it into their own hands and coaches can be creative with them on how to get it done. After repping it as a practice period, every practice period after should have at least a couple uncovered opportunities built in that the players aren’t expecting to see if they notice it; such as 7 on 7, Team periods, etc. You can also install it into your Inside Run period and have it be a check. Just communicate with the Scout Team coach to get into that look. Film and diagrams examples below.
